Guaranteed service windows and guaranteed train lists require separate checks. For regional services on weekdays, the windows listed on this site are 06:00–09:00 and 18:00–21:00, within the framework of Italian Law 146/1990. Check the relevant list and operator notices for your journey: departure time alone does not confirm a train will run.
On Guaranteed trains, choose the operator and scope: national A/B lists, regional lists by area and weekday or holiday, and Italo. Each list shows its source and validity. A train missing from the collected data is not proof of cancellation. For Trenord, also use the official link provided on the portal.
Check the cancellation and alternative travel options with your operator, quoting your train number and travel date. Keep your ticket and PNR booking code. If you abandon your journey, ask the operator about the refund conditions for the cancellation. If you travel and arrive late, consult the delay compensation guide.
A refund for an unused journey and compensation for a delay are different requests. Our guide mainly covers delays and flags possible strike-related exceptions. The calendar cannot determine whether you are entitled to a payment: check your operator’s conditions.
A strike notice announces a planned action. Where available, we show its announcement date separately from the scheduled strike dates. Advance notice is the interval between the announcement and the planned start; we do not calculate it when the announcement date is missing. The record update date cannot replace it.
A strike notice may be withdrawn. The archive distinguishes “Held”, “Called off” (including suspension and postponement) and “Scheduled”. The live collection has no verified outcome: a date passing is not proof that a strike took place. A withdrawal does not provide a new date.
We will email you when a new rail strike is added to the calendar.
