About TrovaTreno

An independent guide to travelling by train in Italy

TrovaTreno is an independent Italian website that tracks trains across the national rail network in real time. We are not affiliated with Trenitalia, Italo, Trenord or any other operator, and we do not sell tickets.

Where our data comes from

Everything you see is built from public sources, refreshed automatically throughout the day:

How to read our punctuality figures

Punctuality is calculated from arrivals we actually observed over the last 30 days, not from operator declarations. A train counts as on time if it arrives within five minutes of schedule; trains arriving early count as on time. Cancelled services are counted separately and never averaged in as “zero delay”.

Where a sample is too small to be meaningful, we show no percentage at all rather than a figure that would mislead.

What this site is not

We do not issue tickets, refunds or compensation. When you buy a ticket through a link on this site you are dealing with the seller, not with us, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Delay compensation is always handled by the operator that ran your train.
